SAFETY BOUNDARIES

Prepare, observe, stop, and follow through.

The app can organize reminders, but real-world supervision and appropriate action always remain with responsible adults.

Adult responsibility

A planning tool cannot supervise a real room

CircleLab supports preparation. It does not replace safeguarding training, local law, site policy, emergency services, professional advice, authorized reporting procedures, or the judgment of responsible adults who know the participants and setting.

Before

Prepare

  • Review the full activity and materials.
  • Confirm supervision, space, access, and local rules.
  • Plan a clear stop signal and transition.
  • Know the setting’s approved support path.
During

Observe

  • Keep active adult supervision.
  • Honor pause, adapt, observe, and opt-out choices.
  • Do not pressure personal disclosure.
  • Adjust or stop when conditions change.
Stop

Respond

  • Stop for distress, unsafe contact, escalating conflict, hazardous conditions, or unclear consent.
  • Follow the setting’s authorized procedure outside the app.
After

Close

  • End predictably and account for the transition.
  • Use the approved private follow-up route when appropriate.
  • Do not record sensitive details in CircleLab.

Safeguarding boundary

No youth records or private messaging

The app has no profiles, chat, direct adult-minor messaging, public sharing, incident records, diagnoses, health records, attendance, behavior tracking, or free-text notes. Safeguarding concerns belong in the setting’s authorized process—not in an anonymous app control.

General-wellness limit

Reset Corner is educational, not clinical care

Optional pause ideas are general educational suggestions for slowing a transition or returning attention to the room. They are not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, medical advice, or a substitute for qualified care.
